High school cheerleaders ask school board to allow them to dress more decently

According to the Connecticut Post, a handful of high school cheerleaders stood before the school’s board of education in their cheerleading outfits exposing their midriffs and asked if this is how they would want their daughters to dress.  They asked for the school board’s help in making a change.  What an opportunity for school officials to commend these young ladies for their courage to go before the school board, not to mention their stand for decency.  However, the story reports that the assistant superintendent for secondary schools dismissed the matter as either tops that came in too small or cheerleaders who had changed size since the spring.  And that only a few complained – that’s not even subtle.  The matter is being resolved with black body suits that the school has promised to purchase.  Kudos to these cheerleaders!  Just another example of standing up, voicing your concerns and seeing results!
